Task:
For a high-performance system, a reel was required that could be alternately loaded during the process.
The lateral guides of the coil must be stable and guarantee that no damage occurs to the belt.
In addition, coils with an outer diameter of up to 800 mm and a minimum inner diameter of 250 mm must be able to be clamped.
An additional requirement is to form a reserve loop between the reel and the machine.
Solution:
A changeover gearbox was designed so narrow that the reel does not need to be turned as usual when changing belts.
Only the speed is switched using a lever.
The motor drives the reel via a slipping clutch so that there is no jerky running.
The lateral coil guides are made of cast aluminium and anodized.
There are eccentric tensioners on the spokes of the side sections for holding the coil.
The reel is equipped with a contact plate and, together with this, ensures tension-free feeding of the system at high capacity.
A belt deburrer can be supplied with this device on request.
